Abbas Vaid has a MCom and BAF (Accounting and Finance) from University of Mumbia, Mumbia, India. Abbas completes his MBA Thompson Rivers University this April 2016. His career goal is Accounting and Administration. Abbas currently serving as Volunteer TNC AIMCanada Executive Assistant responsible for Accounting and Administration. While with Brinks India Private Ltd., he served as Accounts Executive and worked on a team of 4 Accounting Techs doing a complete accounting review for a 52-branch Gold and Silver business. He has just completed the year end processes for 2013, 2014 and 2015 start-up years and completed his own Career Development AIM Checklist. Administrative wise he will be working on funding proposals and mentoring an Accounting Assistant.
'I know our current and future Graduates and Universities need more Career Mentorship opportunities and through working with TNC AIMCanada I will build the network I need for my graduation career job. Serving as the Volunteer Executive Assistant - Accounting and Administration on the AIMCanada Development Team, I am contributing my accounting and year end skills and learning to apply them in a non profit organization while assisting in the development of our local TNC AIMCanada Chapter. AIMCanada serves to train and certify Career Mentors and recruit Corporations and Small Business to Customize their Individual Career Mentorship Programs. '
‘My purpose is have a better understanding of what direction I wish to take my accounting and administration skills through volunteering with AIMCanada. I have come to understand how important the Career Development Support/Focus and building a strong Career Mentorship Business network is to an individual's career and future career path choices. I also see the benefit of a being a part of a continuing Career Development plan and network through AIMCanada commitment to graduates of the future and to my professional development as a Leader and Speaker. I intend to apply this knowledge and expertise learnt to Mentor students through AIMCanada.'

Jarvis Niedersteiner has worked with AIMCanada for two terms on our Marketing Mentorship Team. He is now our Volunteer Resource Development Coordinator on the 2015 Development Team. He enjoys working with people and numbers. Jarvis will be graduating in December 2015 with Accounting BBA with a career goal of completing his accounting designation. ‘Working with AIMCanada has allowed me to develop resume-quality volunteer experience in data bases and professional relationships. Zach Cripps - Social Media/Computer Systems

Zach Cripps brings over 15 years experience with troubleshooting computer systems and computer training. He has experience with webpage design using WordPress (several years) and monitoring a Computer Lab. Zach did an Internship with Future Shop and brings knowledge of troubleshooting computer problems, diagnosing hardware issues and computer system setup. Zach is working with the Developing Team as our Social Media/Computer Systems Coordinator. He chooses to spend his valuable Volunteer Hours with AIMCanada as he has experienced the generosity and guidance of a Mentor while in High School. In fact, it is what got him into his work with computers, software and web development.

Mahesh Mohan

MAHESH MOHAN, BCOM - 2015 - 2016 TNC AIMCanada TRUSU Club (MARKETING/MENTORSHIP TEAM)

Volunteer Ambassador - Promotions AIMCanada TRUSU Club
Mahesh Mohan has a BCOM - Taxation from Mahatma Ghandi University, India and currently taking Post Baccalaureate in Marketing from Thompson Rivers University. His goal is to build his career in digital marketing and e-commerce. Mahesh is completing his third volunteer term with TNC AIMCanada and currently is on our Development Team 2015 as Coordinator of the Marketing/Mentorship Team. This team is responsible for conducting Promotional Days and Special Fun(d)raising Events. Mahesh has just helped with the marketing of a very successful Kamloops Domino' s Pizza Benefit Day that donated funds to TNC AIMCanada Career Mentorship Programs and the Cache Creek Flood Relief Fund. Mahesh has initiated the TNC AIMCanada TRUSU Club on campus which will work on promotional days and offer Power Sessions on Career Development. 'For me volunteering with AIMCanada has afforded me the right platform to build my career as it allows me to improve my networking , leadership and public relations skills. Sometimes it is a steep learning curve but I have discovered by 'hanging in there' I have gained skills that will allow me to build my marketing career and possibly become a Career Mentor to future graduates'.


Shravan Kumar Potharaju

Shravan Kumar Potharaju is currently working as Night Auditor with Thompson Hotel and Conference Centre, he graduated from Thompson Rivers University with Post Bacc.Diploma in Accounting. Shravan is currently enrolled in CPA with credited exemptions towards CPA-Prep, His final goal is to complete CPA designation and obtain an Articles position in one of the Big Four Accounting Firms. Currently, Shravan is serving with AIMCanada as Volunteer Business Presentation Facilitator for the TNC AIMCanada TRUSU Club. In this AIMCanada career mentorship position he is using Leadership, Business Communication, Workshop Facilitation and Team Motivation skills in order that these could be included in his Curriculum Vitae.

Anushikha Verma

Anushikha Verma has completed her degree in Bachelors of Commerce from University of Delhi. She is an international student at Thompson River University pursuing Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Accounting. Her final goal is to complete her CPA designation and obtain an Articles position with one of the major Canadian accounting firms. Currently, Anushikha is serving as Volunteer Accounting Assistant at TNC AIMCanada and working with the Board Accountant to prepare the books for the month end. She is using her accounting skills, updating her knowledge with new accounting softwares like Quickbooks in order that these could be included in her skill set for resume.

Neel Shah

Neel Shah have BCom Accounts and Finance from University of Mumbai, India and he is currently studying Post Bacc. Diploma Finance. His career goal is become an Investment Banker in Canada. With his CFA designation he has cleared CFA Level 1 and planning to take Level 2 next year. NeeI came to Canada this January to study Finance at post bacc level. With AIMCanada he is volunteering as Business Presentation Facilitator for TNC AIMCanada TRUSU Club. 'Through this volunteer opportunity I will improve my presentation and communication skills and team player skills. My personal motivation is to also learn how to help other students in their career development so contribute to helping students bridge the gap after graduation'.

Karan Sethi has a BBA from New Delhi, India and is currently pursuing a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Marketing at Thompson Rivers University. His career goal is Marketing and through TNC AIMCanada and serving as the Volunteer Co-Coordinator of the newly formed TNC AIMCanada TRUSU Club and a member of the TNC AIMCanada Marketing/Mentorship Team he feels he is able to build on his marketing/sales experience. ‘My purpose of volunteering with AIM Canada is to gain valuable volunteer experience which allows me to develop relevant experience towards my career goal of a Marketing/Sales career. At the same time with the university club I will be contributing to increasing the awareness for other students to get involved with mentorship and complete their Career Development AIM Checklist to advance in their careers. Being involved with AIMCanada is a privilege and I hope to keep my association with it strong ’.
